Job description
Join our Victoria government client on an initial 12-month contract as they embark on a transformative journey to modernize our digital services infrastructure. We are seeking a proficient and experienced Scrum Master to lead Agile teams through this exciting transition. Responsibilities
• Facilitate all Scrum-related activities, including sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, sprint retrospective, and product demos.
• Maintain relevant metrics to drive continuous improvement in team efficiency and performance.
• Act as a liaison between product management, developers, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment.
• Provide oversight on team progress to ensure timely delivery of digital solutions.
• Track and report on all scrum activities daily, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Remove impediments to team progress and foster an environment of collaboration and problem-solving.
• Lead, train, and coach team members to enhance their Agile skills and capabilities.
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
1. Have a minimum of four (5) years experience in a scrum master role demonstrating proficiency in the following activities:
i. Conduct all Scrum related activities, including sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, sprint retrospective, and product demos.
2. Have a minimum of four (5) years experience in a scrum master role demonstrating proficiency in the following activities:
i. Conduct all Scrum related activities, including sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, sprint retrospective, and product demos.
3. Have a minimum of four (5) years experience in a scrum master role demonstrating proficiency in the following activities:
i. Maintain relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing, and leveraging metrics to continuously improve the team's efficiency and performance.
4. Have a minimum of four (5) years experience in a scrum master role demonstrating proficiency in the following activities:
i. Liaise between product management, developers, testers and business stakeholders to foster quality communication.
5. Have a minimum of four (5) years experience in a scrum master role demonstrating proficiency in
the following activities:
i. Provide appropriate oversight on the team's progress to ensure delivery is on time.
6. Have a minimum of four (5) years experience in a scrum master role demonstrating proficiency in the following activities:
i. Ensure all scrum activities are tracked, and kept up-to-date, and reported on a daily basis; and reported on a daily basis.
7. Have a minimum of four (5) years experience in a scrum master role demonstrating proficiency in the following activities:
i. Ensure impediments are removed, product quality and timeliness of efforts.
8. Have a minimum of four (5) years experience in a scrum master role demonstrating proficiency in the following activities:
i. Leading, training and coaching team members.
9. Experience with the following methods:
i. Agile Project Management Methodology;
ii. Agile Supporting software such as JIRA Greenhopper, RALLY, MINGLE, Zenhub;
In addition to the skills and experience set out above, the Proponents should demonstrate that the proposed Consultant(s) have the following additional
Desired Qualifications:
1. Knowledge and/or experience with BC Registries and Online Services.
2. Experience working in a scaled agile environment.
3. Experience working coaching Junior Scrum Masters.
4. Experience working with multiple teams/partners for a product.
5. Experience defining metrics and processes to support organizational and program/portfolio processes (e.g., program increment planning).
6. Some knowledge of Project Management Process Groups and Knowledge Areas as described in “A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge PMBOK® Guide”; and SDLC Waterfall Methodology
