Assignment Description
- Ensure Electrical and Instrumentation equipment installation in Hazardous Areas is in compliance with relevant technical Specification, local and international Codes and Standards to prevent potential explosion in Hazardous Areas.
- Oversee 3rd party Team completing inspections On Ex Equipment
o Provide Ex installation surveillance during installation of Ex equipment.
o Audit work being completed by 3rd party conducting Ex inspections to ensure compliance to requirements
- Check and verify Electrical Construction Ex Inspection and Test Records are completed correctly and any faults are recorded as per the project requirements.
- Update and Validate projects Ex-Register
- Follow the Project-specific Ex integrity Assurance plan.
- Provide reports on effects found and recommended corrective actions.
Deliverables
- Maintain Equipment tracking databases
- Produce reports for surveillance, audits and inspections
- Attend meetings with owner and client and report on quality actions, concerns
- Generate, monitor and close out Nonconformance reports and punch list
- Develop project processes and procedures as required
Competencies
- Strong knowledge of welding practices and procedures
- Strong knowledge of NDE practices and procedures
- Knowledge of Industrial painting and Coating Practices and Procedures
- Experience/knowledge working for certifying authorities regarding certification of Subsea equipment
- Experience in reviewing and approving fabrication/technical documentation
o Manufacturing record books
o Welding and NDE data
o Material Test Reports/ Material Traceability
o Equipment test Reports
- Knowledge of the following codes and standards
o ISO 9001:2015
o API 17D
- Experience conducting Quality audits in a fabrication/construction environment
- Willingness to travel
Qualifications Required
- Journeyperson Electrician
- Hazardous Areas ‘Ex” Training
- Experience in completion and overseeing inspection and evaluation of Ex equipment required for Offshore Installations
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience and exposure to construction yards in the quality, fabrication, or construction disciplines.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a team.
