Job Description:Job Description We are currently seeking an Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic to become an integral part of our team! You will diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul automotive vehicles. Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair defects with automobiles, SUVs, light trucks and trailers.Perform routine vehicle maintenance and detailed digital inspections of vehicle condition.Perform annual, and semi-annual safety inspections on retail and light fleet vehiclesKeep a professional neat appearance and tidy work space.Provide labour and time estimates for automotive repairWork as an effective team member offering excellent customer service promptly.Actively participate in industry training offered.Own and maintain necessary technician's tools and storage Qualifications:Previous experience as an automotive technician/mechanic.with a valid 310s or 310t certification.Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipmentStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsDeadline and detail-orientedAbility/willingness to effectively use our electronic management software.A valid Ontario driver's license and clean driver's abstract.Be willing to supply an official Police Services Background Check Company Description Putney's Auto Tech Centre is a well-known multi-generational automotive repair garage serving the surrounding communities of Hamilton, Ontario since the early 1930s. We have a sound reputation for being the go-to garage for steering and suspension, wheel alignments, brakes and general maintenance. We have a strong repeat retail clientele and also work with many local businesses maintaining light fleets. We take pride in providing honest and fair service to every person who walks in our doors. We have been blessed in the past to have many long-term mechanics and technicians to ensure our quality of work remains above standard. These seasoned veterans are now stepping back and taking a rest and we are looking for the next service heroes to join us. We have been known for being cutting-edge in our local industry. The first to bring wheel alignments to Hamilton aftermarket in the 1930s. The first to bring frame straightening in the 1960's. We pushed local school boards to bring the Cooperative education experience to the local industry in the 1990s and have remained a Co-op partner with both local school boards every year. We embraced training in the 1990s for ABS and Traction control systems. We invest in the latest in diagnostic and scanning equipment and pay our technicians to take training opportunities locally and out of town. Our recent renovations included planning for EV vehicle sizes and weight. We are investing in repair technology for self-driving vehicles of the future. We are offering a solid pay structure and benefits packages, weekends off, paid training opportunities and performance-based bonuses and perks.
