Job description

Person must be very organized, quick and able to multi-task while working independently with little supervision

All interested may apply. Preference may be given to applicants with an ECE diploma or certificate or education equivalent to ECE Level I, II, or III.
Applicants without credentials will be considered if an education plan is developed. Tuition funding may be available. Please call for details.
Hourly wage is based on the achieved ECE Level and years of experience.
A benefits plan is offered (family or single) after 3 months for FT employees 30+ hours a week

Who we are looking for:
Someone who is reliable;
Wants to work with young children between the ages of 2.5 yrs  6 yr old mainly, between the hours of 8:30-4:30/5:00, throughout the Chinooks SD calendar year.
There will be an average of 7-10 children in your group for the majority of the day. Near the end of the day a combination of the groups will happen as children and staff leave.

This person will be expected to be engaged in programmed activities with the children every day. To work on the development in their muscles, speech, language, social skills, brain development.
They will be cleaning up after crafts/activities and helping children get dressed if necessary.
Staff will also be helping put the children for naps when required.
This is a fast-paced job with little time to sit down as these kids are always on the go; so being well organized is a must.
This person must have enthusiasm, flexibility, and willingness to learn with the children, patience and understanding.
You will have to help children wash before and after meals, engage with the children through talking and songs, clean up afterwards, (children as well as tables, chairs and floors.)
Change their diapers, help with potty training if they are ready.
Light housekeeping - Vacuum, sweep and mop, laundry, cleaning, some cooking may be required throughout the day.
