The salary range for this position is CAD $44.15/Hr. - CAD $63.47/Hr.

Reporting to the Manager, the Facility Programmer is responsible for leading the development of documentation describing space requirements for various facility projects across VCH. This highly collaborative role requires a deep understanding of a wide range of clinical services, strong stakeholder management skills, and a passion for project work. This role is vital in providing facility planning support for strategic initiatives as they relate to clinical and administrative spaces, particularly for community programs.
The Facility Programmer must have a Bachelors degree in a clinical health science discipline and related clinical experience, including five (5) years of experience with planning of healthcare facilities, healthcare project management or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
As a Facility Programmer with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:
- Be responsible for leading the development of documentation describing space requirements for various facility projects across VCH.
- Have a deep understanding of a wide range of clinical services, strong stakeholder management skills, and a passion for project work.
- Provide facility planning support for strategic initiatives related to clinical and administrative spaces, particularly for community programs.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a clinical health science discipline.
- Five (5) years’ recent related clinical experience including two (2) years’ experience in a health care leadership role responsible for the clinical planning of health care facilities or health care project management, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge & Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in collaboration/consultation with others
- Comprehensive knowledge of health care delivery systems.
- Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and evaluation skills
- Ability to supervise and provide work direction to others
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Ability to develop and maintain rapport with others
- Ability to persuade, provide leadership and guidance to others
- Ability to operate related equipment including related software applications
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
