The Brokerage Administrator will be responsible for providing financial and administrative support to our brokerage and contracts team. This individual will play a vital role in the efficient operation of our brokerage transactions
- Processing high volumes of documentation within specified timelines, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Inputting and maintaining large volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy in our internal systems.
- Ensuring invoicing is completed in a timely manner.
- Conducting regular account reconciliations and analyze sets of data to ensure accuracy and integrity of brokerage transactions.
- Maintaining complete and up-to-date records in our documentation and filing systems.
- Distributing scale and shipping documents accurately and efficiently to the appropriate internal parties.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination and seamless execution of brokerage transactions.
- Proactively communicate with customers & coworkers; resolve issues as they arrive, escalating to the appropriate person when necessary.
- Providing backup to the Contract’s team to ensure Purchase and Sales Orders are being entered on-time and with accuracy.
- Assist with audit requests, ad hoc duties and projects when required.
- Proficient in data entry and managing high volumes of information with precision.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining accuracy in all tasks.
- Customer service-oriented mindset, with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Intermediate or greater Excel skills, proficiency all Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently when required.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure to brokerage activities.
- College or University diploma with a focus on Administration, Finance, or another related field.
- Previous experience within the metal recycling or related industry considered an asset but is not required.
