Currently, Cinco is looking to fill the position of Project Manager (Freelance) to oversee operational details of the work we are doing for our client in the automotive industry. Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for coordinating people and processes to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and produce the desired results. The Project Manager will be the go-to person for everything involving a project’s organization and timeline. The successful candidate will have a forward-thinking mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional brand experiences.
This is a part-time freelance position that will average between 15 - 30 hours per week depending on project needs. Please note that this position is remote but will require local travel and attending events in the Edmonton, Alberta area a few days per month.
Collaborating with key stakeholders including the Senior Account Manager, client, and partners, to develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
Assembling and defining roles for the project team, managing team dynamics to ensure that the project is delivered successfully.
Ensuring that necessary resources, including equipment, tools, and personnel, are available throughout the project lifecycle and that they are optimally utilized and maximized.
Developing detailed project schedules to ensure completion within the allocated time frame; closely monitoring the timeline and taking action as necessary to stay on schedule.
Regular communication of the project plan, progress updates, and requirements to all stakeholders.
Managing project budgets to ensure that the project is delivered within budget limits.
Identifying and assessing potential project risks and working to mitigate those risks.
Maintaining comprehensive records of project progress, decisions, and financials.
Planning and overseeing production of onsite community events and activations.
Supervision and coordination of onsite ambassador teams under the direction of the Account Manager and client.
Proficiency in GSuite and Excel.
Thorough understanding of project management tools and techniques including Agile methodologies, software development methodologies, and other relevant technical skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in simple terms and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to take a bird’s eye view to an issue.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to adapt and adjust approach based on changing project needs and challenges.
Strong teamwork skills; ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various stakeholders both internal to the team and externally to clients/partners.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to prioritize and delegate based on project needs/requirements.
Self-starter and proactive attitude; ability to take action without being prompted.
Ability to take personal ownership and responsibility for timeliness and quality of project outputs.
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to inspire and motivate team members, and manage team conflict.
Strong customer-first orientation and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Ability to assist with ‘on-the-ground’ logistics including lifting boxes and equipment.
Bachelor's Degree (Project Management, Event Management, Hospitality or a related field preferred)
At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager or relevant role.
Prior experience applying project management methodologies and best practices.
Experience with managing project budgets and ensuring financial expectations are met.
Experience with ‘on-the-ground’ logistics such as setup and tear-down tasking.
Bilingual English and French.
PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
Experience with project management tools including ClickUp, Asana, Trello or JIRA an asset.
Experience in automotive industry and test drive program an asset.
An interest in hockey strongly preferred!
