Job description
Our client, a Top 5 Bank in Canada, is seeking a Project Manager to join their team for a 8-month contract with the possibility of extension or convert. This role is located in Toronto, and follows a hybrid work schedule of 1-2 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities Include: - Coordinate project activities, create comprehensive plans to achieve objectives, and oversee the integration of technical tasks.
- Present and explain proposals, reports, and discoveries to clients.
- Delegate, supervise, and assess employee performance while ensuring ongoing staff competency development.
- Evaluate technology, resource requirements, and market trends to assess project feasibility.
- Collaborate with management, production, and marketing teams to discuss project specifications and procedures.
- Consult and negotiate with clients to establish project requirements.
- Provide expertise in project management methodologies, advising the team on integrating both waterfall and agile approaches.
- Facilitate discovery sessions to define project scope and contribute to roadmap creation, collaborating closely with the data team.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and status updates.
- Oversee project transformational design and maintain momentum throughout.
Must-Have Skills: - 10+ years of previous experience as a Project Manager/Project Coordinator or related field in the financial industry
- 7+ years of experience with Agile/Waterfall
- 5+ years of experience with MS Projects
- 5+ years of experience with JIRA/CONFLUENCE
- 5+ years of experience with Clarity
Nice-to-Have Skills: - Experience working on projects at big 5 banks in Canada
