Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse looking for meaningful work which allows you the opportunity to develop relationships with your patients, and their families?

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Stanton Territorial Hospital’s Long Term Care and Extended Care home, you will be a part of a multidisciplinary team providing culturally sensitive care to long-term residents, with well-defined diagnoses and varying levels of needs and acuity, in a facility offering 24-hour professional nursing services.

You will act as a resident advocate and facilitate communication resulting in a holistic approach to planning, organizing, teaching, and relationship development that will best meet the needs of the residents. LPNs can legally act on medication orders from physicians within their scope of practice and provide the following, but not limited to, starting IVs, administering narcotics, etc. that is within the scope of an LPN. LPNs are able to administer all medications upon completion of appropriate certification.

In this role, you will advocate for the dignity and self-respect of the residents while helping them to achieve their optimum level of health in situations of normal health, illness, injury, or in the process of dying.

To be considered for this position you will need to have:

A Licensed Practical Nursing Diploma, and experience within a long-term care setting. Other experience will be assessed on a case-by case basis.
