Job description

This is a contract position for a Sr. Applications Architect / CWM for our public sector client.
Work location: Downtown Toronto
Duration: Twelve Months
7.25 hours/day
This is a Hybrid role that requires the candidate to be onsite 3 days of the week (This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non-negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.)

Responsibilities
Defines the structure and relationship amongst applications, including the identification of re-usable omponents, the organization and layering of software, and the determination of interfaces. Responsibilities also include developing, implementing and managing at least one cross-platform application architecture in a large and distributed environment.

Deliverables include, but are not limited to:
- Work from Business Architectures to develop, evolve, and maintain logical Information Systems architectures consistent with OH’s architecture principles, standards, methodologies, and best practices

- Ensure that relevant SDLC architecture artifacts and practices are followed in the implementation of solutions aligned with Software Development Services Centre of Excellence
- Support implementation teams to build and deploy systems in conformance to solution architecture by knowledge sharing, conducting audits and code reviews
- Collaborate with Product Managers to help develop interim and target state architectures to support product road maps
- Conduct cloud feasibility assessments for products
- Provide technical consulting and advisory services to product and projects team to ensure that solutions are in line with the architecture direction
- Evaluate/research technology, market trends and industry plus identify prospective impact to organization

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a solution Architect on electronic health-related projects in Canada, preferably in Ontario
Experience working with messaging concepts such as XML, JSON, HL7® FHIR®, RESTful API
Experience with Microsoft Cloud based solutions and frameworks
Knowledgeable of PHIPA and privacy legislation and how it applies to healthcare IT solutions
