Weekend Shift Supervisor
Registered Nurse
Permanent Part Time

Nakile is a 48-bed long-term care facility located in the Municipality of Argyle, just 22 km from Yarmouth. We highly value our home-like atmosphere and have been recognized as a healthy workplace. We are seeking a part-time RN with a genuine interest in working with the elderly to join our team.

Qualifications include :

• Current registration with NS College of Nursing
• Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills
• Experience in long-term care or a similar environment is considered an asset
• An interest in working with the elderly and those with disabilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Duties include :

• Provide and coordinate resident care within the Registered Nurse scope of practice
• Provide care that is consistent with Nakile's Mission and Values
• Supervise and administer medications and treatments
• Investigation and follow-up on incident reporting
• Assess the initial and ongoing health status of residents
• Work collaboratively with residents, co-workers, families, physicians, and community
• Oversee weekend schedule and assist when required
• Responsible for weekend on-call responsibilities
• Provide assistance to all weekend roles, when needed
• Provide a weekend report to Nakile Management Team

Work Requirements:

• Location- Argyle, NS
• 0.25 FTE- 0.5 FTE position (every weekend or every second weekend)- *Job Share Opportunity to work every second weekend
• On-call responsibilities compensation from 1700 hours on Friday until 0001 hours Monday
• Work a minimum of 16 hours either every weekend or every other weekend.

Compensation:

• Registered Nurse Rate of Pay
• Additional compensation for on-call responsibilities
