Salary Range (Commensurate with experience) :
Group 4, $ 64,543 - $ 73,342
Reporting to the Assistant Superintendent of Education, People and Culture , the Human Resources Officer (Staffing) is an integral member of the People and Culture Team, responsible for: managing on-line recruitment/staffing tools, providing advice, support and guidance to internal and external customers, completing professional reference verifications for new applicants, scheduling and preparing documentation for interviews, employee contract preparation, tracking of leaves of absence and employee performance evaluations, and promotes the London District Catholic School Board to external applicants.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE - Post-secondary diploma in Office Administration or related field
- Minimum 3 years of administrative support and/or office experience
- Knowledge of Human Resources, recruitment and staffing functions with extensive experience in public sector recruitment and selection processes and administration
- Previous experience with employment contract preparation and salary grid placement calculations
- Advanced computer skills and records management skills utilizing MS office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) and recruitment databases (Applytoeducation.com, Knighthunter, online job boards).
- Excellent understanding of Catholic Education and the system commitment to student learning with a strong commitment to service
- Extensive knowledge of Board procedures and protocols
- Demonstrated ability to provide timely and accurate reports for internal and external purposes
- Demonstrated experience utilizing and maintaining database systems
- Excellent human relations, communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated professional ethic and sensitivity for the confidential nature of the position
- Proven ability to work independently in an organized manner, and collaboratively in a team-based environment
