OPERATIONS MANAGER – PARTS
Our client, a leading force in heavy-duty truck and trailer sales, service, and parts across Atlantic Canada, is actively seeking an Operations Manager – Parts for their Dieppe location. We’re on the lookout for an energetic, detail-oriented individual with a passion for leadership and business growth. As the Operations Manager- Parts, you’ll take charge of a dynamic team of 20 individuals in a fast-paced wholesale and retail warehouse setting. Key responsibilities include:
1. Leadership & Development:
- Manage, coach, and develop team members.
- Foster a positive team environment while assisting with recruiting, training, scheduling, and performance management.
2. Operational Success:
- Help to ensure seamless daily functioning of operations with the aim of meeting and exceeding business goals.
- Oversee parts sales, shipping, receiving, and support functions.
3. Continuous Improvement:
- Plan and implement projects for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Merchandising & Warehouse Manager to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise micro-teams, including parts sales, shipping and receiving, and support functions.
- Manage day-to-day operations, encompassing sales, customer relations, inventory, safety, and facility/warehouse maintenance.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing orders to ensure customer satisfaction and inventory accuracy.
- Build relationships with branches and stakeholders to support overall parts operations.
- Promote a positive team environment and prioritize high-level customer service.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in team management and prioritizing responsibilities.
- Demonstrated track record of fostering team growth and engagement.
- Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn new applications.
- Previous experience in retail/customer service is an asset.
- Knowledge of purchasing, sales, and wholesale processes is an advantage.
- Post-secondary education is considered an asset.
