Based in Port Moody, BC, this position kicks off on February 26th, 2024, and will continue until October 31st, 2024. Offering a 14-Days-in and 7-Days-out work schedule. Your role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing critical electrical components vital to our facilities and operations.

Perks of the job

• Competitive pay from $42.00/hr to $52.00/hr. Your compensation will be based on your registered ITA trade level, cumulative skills, and work experience.

What would you be doing?   

• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to decide on wiring layouts. 
• Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other electrical conductor enclosures and fixtures. 
• Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors. 
• Position, support , and install equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, panels, fuse enclosures, fire alarms, lighting controls, and auto backup generators. 
• Install, replace, support, and repair electrical systems and equipment. 
• Testing circuits to ensure integrity and safety. 

Does this sound like you?  

• Hold a valid Journeyperson or Apprentice certification.
• Have a valid and up-to-date Safety Tickets: H2S Alive, WHMIS, CSO, and Standard First Aid ticket.
• AWP and Fall Protection are assets.
• Have high regard for personal safety, company assets, and employees. 
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle strict deadlines. 
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
• Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.

Other important details  

This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
