As the Product Manager in the IT Business Solutions department, you will be responsible for the Acturis Broker Management System (BMS) and Insurance platform roadmap, including managing the prioritization and specifications of system development, enhancements, and configuration with a keen focus on Westland and Agile business needs. In this key role, you will interface with vendor product management resources, business stakeholders, and senior leaders to drive the improvement of our primary business application forward.
Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $94,000 - $117,000, with a 35-hour work week. Your rate of pay will be determined based on your individual qualifications and experience, while considering internal equity.

Why we’ll love You: - You have over 5 years of experience as a product owner or similar role in product management for an enterprise platform
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business or other related fields
- You have a technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies. You have a strong aptitude for learning new technologies
- Working knowledge of the insurance and brokerage industry would be an asset
- You have exceptional communication skills, both orally and in visual/written formats
- You are extremely detail-oriented and think of yourself as methodical and well-organized
- You take initiative and are a problem solver. Your critical thinking skills are your strength
Once here, you'll: - Lead development, on-going updates, and execution of the Acturis product roadmap based on market research, customer feedback, and business objectives
- Gather feature/functionality requests from end users and business representatives including analyzing business needs and working with our business analysts in defining requirements/user stories and acceptance criteria
- Proactively connect with end users and business representatives to understand and anticipate their needs for the product roadmap
- Ensure that our vendor (Acturis) has a clear and updated source of information to understand Westland and Agile's development priorities at any given time.
- Groom and prioritize product backlog, working with business stakeholders, team members, and vendor partner(s)
- Manage the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and work with the vendor to coordinate scope/prioritization of releases, upgrades, and/or development sprints
- Follow progress of development work, getting involved in any issues/escalations and previews of build to ensure ongoing alignment with business requirements
- Coordinate communication of development releases and configuration changes with the Senior Manager, Enterprise Broker & Insurance Systems and Learning & Development (L&D) team
- Track and coordinate the implementation of backlogged enhancements not configured at deployment
- Produce visualizations of the product roadmap at the appropriate level of detail for communication with various internal and external stakeholders
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the product
