THE ROLE

Under the supervision of the Climbing Wall Supervisor, the Climbing Wall Attendant monitors the facility and ensures that all climbing equipment and wall are ready for use. He/she adheres to schedule of the facility and assists with scheduling use of the facility. He/she performs routine maintenance and safety inspections of equipment and of the climbing wall, as required and monitors equipment returns and ensures proper storage. He/she ensures cleanliness of the facility and of the equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

High school diploma AND some years of experience in a climbing wall environment or a related field, or

An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered

Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification

Valid Climbing Wall Instructors (CWI) certification.

Experience

In climbing wall operations

In applying policies, procedures, and regulations

In health and safety practices

Competencies, Skills and Abilities

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English Essential, Bilingual (English and French) an asset

Reading: None

Writing: None

Oral: Fonctional
