About the Company:
Our client is a clinical-stage oncology company focused on developing next-generation radiopharmaceuticals as precision medicines. They are growing at a rapid rate and are seeking to add an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to their dynamic team!
Responsibilities:
- Develop corporate health and safety policies and procedures and standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Identify, develop, coordinate, and implement effective safety education, training & awareness
- Verify that OSHA regulatory, other environmental and safety, record-keeping and reporting requirements are met
- Conduct workplace inspections to identify activities where accidents could occur
- Manage and evaluate accident reports
- Provide information that will aid in reducing accidents and improve safety
- Manage the corporate safety program including regular safety committee meetings, general awareness, OSHA compliance and other regulatory compliance
- Oversee and coordinate Joint Health and Safety committee and site record retention
- Manage WSIB program and claims management process
- Provide AODA guidance and support for office and lab associates
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred with a minimum of five years in a Health & Safety Management role
- Comprehensive knowledge of the safety health programs, policies, risk identification and control strategies, and federal and state regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Hold current certification/training in First Aid, CPR, SD, WHIM and AODA
