We are currently looking for a Capital Engineer to join our T&D Capital Execution team in a permanent position. Reporting to the Senior Capital Distribution Engineer, you will be responsible for the efficient selection and management of distribution line projects and processes within the T&D Capital Execution team while ensuring that project management methodology is followed. You will be part of a team integrating new technologies into our business.
As Capital Engineer you will:
- Work closely with other technical and operating groups to ensure projects are successfully defined, planned, and implemented.
- Develop tracking procedures for new construction projects and review projects in the field.
- Develop processes to maintain efficient deployment of our capital program.
You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of your co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
You recognize yourself in most of the following competencies, and where possible possess the skills and experience listed below:
- A Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering,
- Full membership (or eligible for membership) in Engineers NS
- Strong analytical/computer skills and an aptitude for detailed process analysis
- The ideal candidate will have a background in project management.
- Valid driver´s license and be available to provide assistance/direction for after hour emergency service restoration.
