Job description

Canadian Executive Search Group Inc is currently seeking experienced machine operators for our automotive client in London, Ontario. The selected individual must be attentive, hard working, and have great attendance.

THIS POSITION IS NOT SUITABLE FOR STUDENTS

Location: East London
Shifts: M-F day shift / M-TH afternoon shift
Wage: $17.00/hour (consistent raises after being hired on)
Temp to Perm

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years experience in a similar position
• Grade 12 level in English comprehension (verbal and written)
• Basic mathematical skills
• Physically able to lift heavy materials consistently
• Basic mechanical fundamentals knowledge
• Basic computer skills
• Forklift experience is considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Set up machine per work order – tube clamps, saw blade or cutter, correct tube diameter and length
• Check correct grade of material. Measure parts for correct length and diameter and record hourly
• Pack parts in boxes, bundles or skids
• Material handling – use overhead crane or pallet lifter as required
• Fill out tags for each box with correct quantity, lot # and tube size
• Visually inspect each tube running 400-500 pcs an hour
• Keep work area and machine clean
• Complete daily machine and PM checks
• Follow health and safety rules, guarding in place – use lock out if required
• Must have good attitude, be polite and respectful at all times
• Be accountable for your work
• Follow company rules and guidelines of employee handbook
• Required to work alternate shifts based on customer and schedule requirements
• Perform other related duties as required
