Schedule

afternoons and rotating statutory holidays

Shift 

8 hrs 

Full-time position for afternoons and rotating statutory holidays. Schedules and performs activities in maintaining, installing, constructing, replacing, painting or repairing fixtures, structures and equipment throughout the hospital. Assists with plumbing, HVAC, millwrighting, electrical, carpentry and general mechanic work as required. Monitoring the BAS and actively engaging in issues as they are encountered. Working with the CMMS to ensure prompt response and rectification. Other duties as per job fact sheet.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) required
• Post Secondary technical diploma/degree or licensed trade in a relevant field required.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in a healthcare / commercial / industrial construction and/or maintenance environment required.
• The ability to assess mechanical malfunctions and enact solutions independently (i.e. pumps and motors) required.
• Minimum 3-5 years working with a Building Automation System (BAS) required.
• Minimum 3-5 years working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time required.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination to ensure safe handling of all equipment required.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work assignments
• Effective communication and planning skills
• Demonstrated Team Player
• Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required
