Description

The HVAC Project Manager plays an essential role in a company specializing in mechanical design and construction. Responsible for overseeing the complete management of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) projects, from initial planning to final completion, ensuring installations meet quality, safety, and performance standards.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate the execution of HVAC projects, considering client-specific requirements, budget constraints, and deadlines.
Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to understand project needs and develop effective solutions.
Prepare cost estimates and proposals for new projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
Supervise the installation of HVAC systems on-site, ensuring work is conducted according to established quality and safety standards.
Manage human and material resources required for project execution, ensuring effective allocation of workforce and equipment.
Regularly monitor project progress, identifying and resolving potential issues or delays to meet timelines.
Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and industry standards.
Provide technical support to field teams, addressing questions and providing guidance to ensure quality execution.
Manage project administrative tasks, including documentation, progress reports, change requests, and approvals.
Maintain clear and transparent communication with all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and progress.

Requirements

Degree in mechanical engineering, building engineering, or a related field.
Experience in HVAC project management, preferably in industrial and commercial sectors.
Thorough knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, as well as applicable codes and standards.
Advanced planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems and make effective decisions in complex situations.
Proficiency in project management software and relevant computer tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while adhering to deadlines and budgets.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
