At Abstract Developments, we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Foreman to join our team. As a Construction Foreman, working closely with the Superintendent and the field staff at the site, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the construction activities of our multifamily development projects. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to safety regulations.

As a Construction Foreman at Abstract Developments, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including residential wood framing, concrete form work, finishing, and general carpentry. In partnership with the You will lead and manage a team of construction workers, providing guidance and supervision to ensure an efficient and effective workflow.

To excel in this role, you should have previous experience as a construction foreman or a similar position. You should also possess in-depth knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials. Strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a construction foreman or similar role in residential wood framing, concrete form work, finishing, or general carpentry
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials
• Computer literacy for field/office communication - Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Project, Procore, Jonas, or Blue Beam are considered an asset
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints
• Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address construction challenges and find effective solutions
• Physically capable of heavy lifting as per WorkSafe BC regulations, climbing multiple flights of stairs and/or ladders, kneeling, crouching, and bending throughout the day
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to build trust with trades, suppliers, customers, and clients in order to promote the Abstract brand
