Job description

The Director of Engineering (Elementary) position of STEAM & Sport Camp/ Robotics Leadership Camp is responsible to manage and lead teachers to run science, technology, engineering and math programs during camp to ensure there is a curriculum that promotes the development of an understanding of these subjects through lessons and activities. This position is offered to candidates with at least two years of camp experience. The position requires the highest degree of work ethic and accountability. The candidate must lead and accomplish weekly science, engineering, technology and math goals to connect age-appropriate lessons with the weekly themes set for the camp. The candidate must be able to adapt to any given situation and be available to guide and support others. The Director of Engineering (Elementary) will be responsible to coordinate with others to conduct the schedule of the camp, the safety procedures according to guidelines and policies of Triumph Chinese Evangelical Missionary Church. The Director of Engineering (Elementary) must also work together with other Directors both within and outside of the Elementary panel to ensure that teachers remain responsible and are prepared for their assigned lessons. When not teaching, the Director of Engineering (Elementary) is responsible for supporting all other teachers and directors at camp in their various needs. The Director of Engineering (Elementary) is also responsible for assisting administration staff and other administrative duties during camp.

ACCOUNTABILITY

The Director of Engineering (Elementary) is responsible to the Director of Learning (Elementary)

PERSONNEL

Age: 18 to 30 Years old

Remuneration: $20.55 per hour for Directors of Engineering (Elementary) (CRA requirement: Deduction for CPP and EI as an employee of Triumph Church 2024). NOTE: Will be given a Vacation Pay of 4% of TOTAL INCOME at the end of term. 

Commitment: June 8th, 2024 - August 23rd, 2024 (Upon Approval of Canada Summer Jobs)

Minimum Working Hours: 280 Hours (Upon Approval of Canada Summer Jobs) 

Plan 2 Protect: Completed the course and have received your certificate

Police Check (Toronto - Criminal Record Check/ York Region - Vulnerable Sector Check)
