You are a builder, influencer, and change agent

In this exciting role, you will be leading a 24 x 7 team of high performing Cyber Security Operations Incident Responders that are highly skilled and knowledgeable in all facets of incident response. On any single day, you will be involved in co-ordinating and leading the team through Cyber Security related incidents and investigations. You will have the technical expertise and knowledge to understand the threat situation, ability to contain and remediate the incident all while providing senior leadership with continuous updates of the situation in a clear and concise manner.

You are also accountable to facilitate and provide an incident response report that outlines the incident details, timelines, actions taken, and lessons learned. These reports will be completed and shared with senior leadership once the incident has been resolved. Any actions items contained in the report that are still outstanding will be tracked by you until the item/s are officially resolved.

Lastly, you are an exceptional leader who drives for continuous improvements. You will possess the skills to develop KPI's and metrics that demonstrate the effectiveness of our Cyber Operations Incident Management program. You will be responsible for the creation and submission of weekly / monthly reports to our various stakeholders. You will also be responsible for continuous improvements to playbooks and standard operating procedures to ensure that future incidents can be resolved quickly and effectively.

What you bring to the table:

• Expert in the continuous monitoring and improvement of an organization's security posture while preventing, detecting, analyzing, and remediation of Cyber Security incidents.
• Experienced in supporting the evolution of a Cyber Security Operations incident response program through continuous updates to Cyber-related documentation including incident playbooks, policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Ability to understand emerging Cyber Security threats and risks to our cloud and on-prem environments and develop solutions to mitigate.
• Passionate about providing development opportunities to team members, including the identification of training requirements, creation and implementation of appropriate development plans.
• Enjoys working in collaboration with our internal Cyber Security teams (Threat & Platform Management) to constantly improve and evolve our Cyber Security Operations program to be best of breed.

What you have to offer:

• An undergraduate degree or diploma in computer science, engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of industry experience working in Cyber Security.
• 2 - 3 years of experience leading an incident response team.
• Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to senior leadership.
• Knowledge of incident response tools, such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), and log analysis tools.
• Knowledge working in a complex retail technology environment, is desired.
• GIAC GCIH, CISA, CISSP, CISM, or similar industry certification, is preferred.

The salary range for this position in [British Columbia] is [$90,666K - $125,000K per year]. We will consider factors such as your working location, work experience and skills as well as internal equity, and market conditions to ensure that you are paid fairly and competitively.
