Job description
Community Service Worker Terrace and District Community Services Society. Location Terrace, BC. Salary 27.90 hourly / 35 hours per week. Full-time, Day, Evening, Night, and Morning, Starts as soon as possible. Languages English. Education College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Experience 2 years to less than 3 years. Responsibilities: Obtain information and prepare reports or case histories. Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Implement life skills workshops. Assess the client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Conduct follow-up assessments. Develop, coordinate, and implement the delivery of specific services within the community. Provide suicide and crisis intervention. Resolve conflict situations. Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and halfway houses. Implement substance abuse treatment programs. Implement behavior management programs. Conduct individual and group counseling sessions. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research. Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of treatment programs. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings.
