We are expanding our operations into Canada and are looking for a dynamic and experienced Country Director to lead and spearhead our Canadian operations.
Role Summary:
The Country Director will be the driving force behind our operations in Canada, responsible for overseeing compliance, managing partnerships, and ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks, including FINTRAC requirements. This is a pivotal role that requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of the Canadian regulatory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company’s goals and objectives in the Canadian market.
- Ensure full compliance with Canadian laws and regulations, including FINTRAC guidelines, anti-money laundering (AML) standards, and any other relevant financial regulatory requirements including reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies in Canada.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in all aspects of the business.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the local team to achieve excellence in performance and service delivery.
- Manage the financial performance of the Canadian operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks that could impact the company’s operations, reputation, or profitability in Canada.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or related field.
- Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably as a Country Director or similar, with a strong track record in operations and compliance.
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian business laws, financial regulations, and compliance requirements, especially related to FINTRAC and AML policies.
