Job description


Peter Ballantyne Child & Family Services Inc. is accepting applications for one (1) Term Finance Clerk in the Prince Albert office. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Clerk will be responsible for processing daily financial transactions in an effective and efficient manner to ensure accuracy and security.

Duties:

Computes, classifies, records, analyzes and verifies numerical data on account statements, purchase orders, cheques, invoices, requisitions and bank statements in order to maintain accounting records in accordance with PBCFSI Finance Policies and Procedures
Reconciles all accounts payable in a general ledger, computer spreadsheets and databases.
Prepares and reconciles periodic reports for ad hoc projects.
Responds to customer inquiries, maintains good customer relations and resolves concerns.
Performs related clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining the filing system, faxing and photocopying.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Business Administration Certificate or Diploma with related experience.
Knowledge of the Woodland Cree culture & language and the political and social objectives of First Nations.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable and maintaining general ledgers.
Demonstrated team building skills and time management skills.
Proficiency in computer skills and demonstrated ability in working with Sage 300, MS Excel, Outlook, Word & AIS at all times.
Ability to deal with public and clients in a cordial and respectful manner, and to maintain confidentiality.
