Senior Property Accountant

The Senior Property Accountant is responsible for the overall financial management of a portfolio of properties. This includes the preparation of financial statements, analysis of financial data, and preparation of reports for management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience in the property management industry.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Analyze financial data and identify trends
• Prepare reports for management
• Manage the accounting function for a portfolio of properties
• Oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Resolve accounting issues and discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
• Communicate with management and other stakeholders regarding financial matters

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• CPA license (required)
• 6+ years of experience in property management accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Yardi accounting software
