Reports to:


Regional Vice President


General Duties:


Leads and directs the activities of a team of account executives in the Ontario region providing sales and services to independently owned customer stores.


Essential Functions:


Provides sales leadership to the account executives and CARQUEST independent store customers.

Manages and directs the activities of the sales team to ensure achievement of the sales plan and new business goals.


Communicates and enforces the company's credit policy and finance programs to independent store customers.


Leads acquisition activities, which include coordinating the efforts of the DC management team in preparation of the acquisition documentation, planning and management of the acquisition inventory, and, if applicable, the conversion to CARQUEST ownership.


Fosters a mutual relationship of trust and respect with all independent store customers.


Works closely with the human resources department on employee issues such as corrective counseling and disciplinary actions, recruiting, training, and selecting candidates, developing employee leadership skills, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.


Communicates and manages the implementation of sales programs with independent store customers, including but not limited to the TechNet Professional Auto Service program, training programs and advertising.


Directs and monitors marketing activities include but not limited to achieving annual new business objectives, qualifying new store prospects, developing, and maintaining open market lists and surveys, prospecting for new stores and acquisition opportunities, working with DC operations Team to prioritize markets, ensure all activities conform to company guidelines, and maintaining current list of prospects.


Minimum years of related experience:

7 – 10 years


Work Experience required:

Sales management experience in a related industry


Skills and Abilities required:


Excellent management and leadership skills.

Exceptional organizational and planning skills required.

Must have highly developed interpersonal skills coupled with an ability to solve problems.

Must have well-developed sales and presentation skills.

Basic understanding of business finance or related skills is required.

Self-starter, creative and able to communicate and sell intangible concepts to others.


Education:

Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience


Language requirement:

English


Decision Making scope:

Occasionally makes significant decisions within the standards of the position. Is primarily guided by established policies and procedures. Questions and problems that fall outside of standard operating procedures are referred to supervisor.


Contacts with Others and supervision:

Required to represent the company and have regular interaction with internal and external contacts.


Use of Confidential data:

Continually has access to and utilizes proprietary or confidential data.

Travel:

60% of work schedule involves travel.


Salary range:

$90,000-110,000
