Job description
SECURITIES OFFICER
Purpose:
The provision of administrative and operational support to the company by the preparation and processing of security documents whilst maintaining custodial responsibilities for security files in assigned portfolios at a level that will enhance the achievement of goals and objectives.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking/Management Studies or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution or a minimum of a Diploma in Business Management.
- Experience in operating in a microfinance environment would be an asset.
- Completion of paralegal studies would be an asset.
Required Skills / Experience:
- Indepth knowledge and training in security documentation and processing.
- Knowledge of established procedures for the execution/perfection of security documents Knowledge of Micro Credit policies and procedures would be an asset.
- Ability to display effective time management skills.
- Competency in Microsoft applications (Word & Excel)

- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- A high degree of accuracy and detailoriented.
- Ability to prioritize a demanding workload in a teamoriented environment.
- A high degree of confidentiality and flexibility.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Prepare all security documentation in keeping with the approved credit application and establish a Service Level Agreement.
- Prepare all security documentation including Commitment Letters and related security documents.
- Calculate and ensure collection of fees required for processing stamping and registration of credit facilities.
- Process executed security documentation upon disbursement for assessment stamping and registration at the relevant Government Agencies within the specified timelines.
- Prepare all relevant release documents for securities and letters to the relevant institutions to discharge the company’s interest upon request and following the Company’s policies and procedures.
- Processing and perfection of security documentation.
- Prepare and track the outstanding collateral report to ensure that all required security documentation by Government Agencies is done within the specified timelines.
- Custodial responsibilities.
- Additional assignments as outlined by the Credit Manager.
