Job description
On behalf of our large, public-sector client based in Vancouver, Ignite Technical Resources is seeking an experienced CIP Compliance Consultant to join our client’s team for the initial 12 months contract opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Work with business groups from across the organization to implement CIP practices, oversee incident investigations, develop and implement corporate-wide CIP mitigation plans, manage continuous improvement initiatives, and support regulatory processes as required
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to implement CIP program/process improvements resulting from mitigation plans, management action plans and continuous improvement initiatives. This may involve working with a cross-functional team from multiple business areas to design and implement improvements to CIP program policies, procedures and job aids, and processes and controls
- Assignment may also include performing NERC CIP non-compliance investigations and root cause analysis using the established investigations framework, ensuring that an enterprise-wide perspective is applied to investigations, root cause analysis and mitigation plan development
Mandatory Requirements:
- A minimum seven (7) years of working experience in Information Technology with at least four (5) years in cyber security or equivalent
- Experience with project management and process improvement
- Experience with NERC CIP or cyber security
Nice-to-Have Requirements:
- Utilities industry experience
- Change management experience
- Certificate in at least one of the following areas, an asset:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified in Risk Information Systems Control (CRISC)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
- GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN)
