Job description
Wages: 55,000 to 60,000 annually / 40 to 60 hours per Week
Job Responsibilities: 1. Operate and drive trucks to transport goods and materials to destinations in a safe and efficient way according to the all relevant legislation, policies and procedures. 2. Oversee all aspects of vehicles, such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, Perform daily safety and security of Cargo and maintenance checks 3. Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights and breaks etc. 4. Ensure trucks and equipment is safely and secured stored. 5. Plan your trip according to the weather conditions 6. Clean trucks as scheduled and or/required 7. Followed safety procedures for transporting hazardous goods. 8. Manage Bill of Ladings and other expense receipts pertaining to the trip 9. Maintain Log Books according to rules and regulations 10. Record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption 11. Communicate with dispatcher at least twice in a day for update 12. May drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
