Thunderbolt Contracting is currently seeking an experienced mechanic to assist in repairing and maintaining our modern fleet of vehicles and equipment. The successful candidate would report to our Shop Service Manager.
Responsibilities: - Perform scheduled inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs etc. on all vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose, repair and service, braking systems, suspension systems, air systems, hydraulics, electrical systems, cab HVAC, steering components, drivelines, and more.
- Perform Ministry of Transportation vehicle inspections as per Ministry guidelines.
- Complete all necessary paperwork as required for repairs and inspections completed.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements: - Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Valid G driver's license.
- In-depth knowledge of heavy trucks/equipment.
- Possess own set of mechanic's basic tools.
- Sound knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Candidates that are in 2nd or 3rd year apprenticeship program will also be considered.
