Job description

Our Laval-based company is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager for a warehouse located in Montreal. We're looking for someone with several years' experience in management and coaching, who prefers to be on the floor rather than in an office.

As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the distribution center team in identifying opportunities for improvement, finding solutions and implementing them. Producing and analyzing reports will be part of your reality. We are looking for an innovative person who can easily see what needs to be improved in order to take the company to new heights of performance.

Monday to Friday daytime, but must expect to work overtime.

Responsibilities
The Continuous Improvement Manager will, among other things:

- Analyze the distribution center's operational processes;
- Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization;
- Confirm project feasibility and evaluate potential gains;
- Ensure proper implementation of new procedures;
- Integrate continuous improvement methods and processes into day-to-day operations;
- Participate in problem-solving and implement corrective and preventive actions;
- Map processes;
- Conduct analyses based on data from the SAP system and other relevant databases;
- Identify opportunities for improvement in processes, tools and management behaviors;
- Coordinate the deployment and implementation of new practices or procedures;
- Provide user training and post-implementation support;
- Support and train managers in the management of their operations;
- Develop, organize and improve the distribution center's SOPs and documentation system to enhance standardization of methods and team skills;
- Maintain and improve KPI reports, internal dashboards and existing dashboards.

Qualifications
Skills expected of an excellent Continuous Improvement Manager :

- University degree in industrial engineering, operations management or logistics, or related field;
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position;
- Bilingual English-French;
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and SAP;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work on several projects in parallel;
- Ability to adapt quickly to change and work under pressure;
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders at different levels and departments;
- Customer service orientation;
- Good interpersonal and mentoring skills;
- Six Sigma green belt or black belt certification will be considered an asset.

The successful candidate should expect to work overtime.

The successful candidate will be expected to start work at 6:30 a.m. Monday to Friday.
Expect to work some Saturdays during peak season.
In the off-peak season, there will be greater schedule flexibility.
