Job description
Hays are currently working with a multi-family residential builder based in Calgary. They are seeking a skilled Construction Manager to oversee all construction activities. Reporting directly to the Owner, you will manage a team of 10+ professionals and ensure successful execution of construction projects. This company specialises in multi-family apartment builds.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including project management, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
- Manage and develop a team of 10+ staff, providing strategic guidance and leadership.
- Collaborate with the owner and senior management to develop and implement business strategies.
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competition for growth opportunities.
- Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, and accountability throughout the organization.
- Maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, codes, and safety standards.
- Prepare and present reports, budgets, and forecasts to senior management.
- Continuously improve operational processes for increased efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of managerial experience in residential construction.
- Strong understanding of multi-family apartment construction processes.
- Proven track record in project management and successful project completion.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
- Strategic mindset with strong decision-making skills.
- Results-oriented and focused on business growth.
- Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Relevant education in construction management or related field preferred
