Job description

On behalf of our client, a world leader in gases, technologies and services for Industry and Health; we are looking for a skilled Field Operator- Oil and Gas in Sarnia, Ontario to ensure the safe operation of nitrogen or liquid pumping equipment at various locations across Canada.

 

If you have experience in oil refineries, petrochemical plants, oil, and gas, or you are a recent tech graduate with a strong mechanical background who is willing to learn, we want to hear from you!

 

What You Do:

• Safely operate nitrogen or liquid pumping equipment at customer sites.

• Prepare rolling stock equipment and ancillary items for use in customer systems.

• Rig in and pressure test equipment prior to operation.

• Continuously monitor equipment, safety indicators, and gauges to ensure optimal performance.

• Assist in the mobilization and demobilization of equipment to and from job sites.

• Document all relevant information accurately in commercial paperwork.

 

Who You Are:

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating nitrogen equipment, pumpers, or bulkers.

• Experience in oil refineries, petrochemical plants, or related industries.

• Understanding of nitrogen services execution.

• A Class 1 driver's license with off-road experience is preferred but will train.

• Educational background in relevant fields such as Civil Engineering Technologist, Mechanical Engineering Technologist, or Heavy Equipment Technician preferred.

• Certifications such as CSTS, WHMIS, H2S, TDG are assets.

• Ability to understand and work within a diverse team collaboratively.

• Must be able to travel 80% of the time.

 

What We Offer:

• Base Salary: $51,000.00 and an additional 220.00 per shift 220 shifts a year total 49,000.00 for a total of up to $100,000.00 plus meals and accommodation when on site.

• Accommodation: All meals and accommodation, camp or hotel are provided when travelling.

• Comprehensive company health benefits and annual bonuses based on performance.

• Work Schedule: 15 days on and 6 days off, 12-hour shifts, some shifts will be on site in remote locations.

• Work starts immediately.
