MANAGER, BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE


Facility Association ensures the availability of automobile insurance to owners, lessees and licensed

drivers of motor vehicles who are eligible. We are an unincorporated non-profit association of insurers. FA operates in Ontario, Alberta, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Yukon, Nunavut, and Northwest Territories. Every insurer licensed to write automobile liability insurance in these jurisdictions is a member of Facility Association. The affairs and business of FA is managed and controlled by a Board of Directors with authority Canada-wide. The President and CEO is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization and management of staff.

ABOUT THE ROLE


Reporting to the Director, Operational Data & Systems and working closely with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and service providers, the incumbent is a key contributor to the department’s operational and strategic initiatives, with a focus on leading the development and implementation of data and business processes modernization and transformation.

The incumbent oversees the Business Intelligence team and acts in the capacity of senior technical lead and advisor with respect to Data & Analytics, with additional exposure to the oversight of Facility Association’s existing internal Member data processes and supporting internal systems.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


In this role you will support the department’s strategic and operational initiatives by leading the

development and implementation of complex data and data processes transformation and driving

change management initiatives. A subject matter expert in the field, you will leverage your advanced knowledge and skills in data analytics and data management tools. You will ensure that all deliverables are aligned with Facility Association’s data governance guidelines and will drive the development of and ensure sufficient documentation is in place and maintained with respect to business processes, systems, and data flows. You will provide your expertise in the development and maintenance of data governance policies and guidelines.


You will oversee the Business Intelligence team, establishing goals for your direct reports and managing their performance. You will plan, prioritize, and coordinate resources to ensure deadlines are met, and will coach and mentor your direct reports. An excellent communicator, you will manage internal and external stakeholder relationships (including Member insurers and regulatory bodies). You will also lend your support and expertise to the department to work on special projects or other activities.
