Description The
Building Technician plays a crucial role within a construction company. He is responsible for providing essential technical support for the planning, coordination and execution of construction projects, contributing to the overall success of operations.
Responsibilities •Provide technical support to engineers and site supervisors in the planning and coordination of construction projects.
•Interpret architectural plans, technical drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
•Carry out site visits to monitor the progress of the work, identify any problems and propose solutions.
•Conduct field inspections to ensure work is completed in accordance with quality standards and applicable regulations.
•Maintain technical documentation, including inspection reports, site surveys and checklists.
•Coordinate with the different teams on the site to ensure effective communication and harmonious collaboration.
•Provide administrative support such as preparing reports, managing schedules and coordinating meetings.
•Ensure that all activities on site take place in compliance with current health and safety standards.
Requirements •Degree in building mechanics technology, architectural technology, civil engineering technology, architecture, or a diploma in building design, or in a related field.
•Experience in the construction field, an asset.
•Good knowledge of building standards and safety regulations.
•Good knowledge of computer-aided drawing (CAD) software and basic IT tools.
•Ability to communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors and customers.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
•Good organization and ability to meet deadlines and priorities.
