Lead Systems and Network Administrator

Job description
Our client has an immediate opening for a Lead Network & Systems Administrator to join their team in Vancouver.
In this Senior role you are responsible for supporting a multi-site environment, installing, maintaining, and supporting the organizational computer systems, wide area networks, local area networks, intranets, individual computers, mobile devices, and managing the overall IT infrastructure and strategy. In addition, you will coach and mentor other IT staff with a dotted line reporting structure.
Responsibilities:
- Manage IT infrastructure for a multi-location team.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware/software components.
- Proactively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure robust data security and backup strategies.
- Manage user accounts and access in a diverse setting.
- Perform audits for IT policy compliance.
- Tailor IT solutions to meet the needs of a fast-paced construction environment.
- Provide training and support to users with varying skill levels.
- Stay informed on IT industry trends, best practices, and technologies.
- Help the company stay compliant with cybersecurity regulations.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, particularly in a fast-paced, multi-site context.
- Experience coaching and mentoring junior and remote team members.
- Relevant college or university education.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
- SharePoint, Intune, Viewpoint ERP, Jonas and Procore experience are considered an asset.
- Preferred certifications: MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA A+.
- The ability to optimize the performance of an IT infrastructure and drive solutions.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, team collaboration and relationship building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, and capable of thriving in a dynamic, people-focused environment.
- Results driven mindset, initiative-taking, and strong attention to detail required.
