Job description

This is a contract position for a Report Developer for our public sector client.
Work location: 21 College Avenue, Toronto
Duration: 8 months
7.25 hours/day
This is a Hybrid role that requires the candidate to be onsite 3 days of the week (This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non-negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.)

Responsibilities
• Participate in reporting needs assessment to understand the functionality and design of the current operational reports in use
• Perform assessment, and define approach in collaboration with project team and stakeholder to migrate operational reports to appropriate CDT solution standard reporting features or to a Power BI tool (i.e., Desktop or Report Builder)
• Perform design and development activities to migrate operational reports to Power BI in alignment with OPS Standards and Guidelines (i.e., AODA, WCAG 2.0 Level AA)
• Perform troubleshooting and apply corrective actions to resolve issues with migrated reports and dashboards discovered during pre-release testing

• Work with project team to provide relevant and required documentation to support migration activities and knowledge transfer
• Participate in knowledge transfer activities

Qualifications
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Power BI Desktop [At least 2 years of experience]
• Demonstrated working knowledge of SQL query languages (T-SQL, PL-SQL) [At least 4 years of experience]
• Demonstrated working knowledge of DAX programming (At least 2 years of experience)
