Customs Freight Services Associate (12 Month Contract)

Job description
Mandate:
Reporting to the department manager, the Customs Freight Associate will be the primary contact for key clients working closely with the customs operations and advisory teams. The candidate will be responsible for handling post-release payments and deliveries, onboarding new clients, supporting client retention and growth opportunities, delivering exceptional client service, promoting customs services, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling across all Delmar products.
Other responsibilities:
- Arrange for the final delivery of imported goods as requested by clients.
- Process payment of vendor invoices for the release of cargo.
- Track the arrival and release of cargo through logistics software.
- Perform accounting and reconciling of costs associated with these services.
- Work with clients to resolve issues and find timely solutions.
- Assist other teams with their accounting, delivery, and payment functions as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in customer service activities related to customs services is considered an asset
- College Diploma in International Transportation & Customs or a related field is considered an asset
- Experience in Cargo Wise One and Salesforce system is considered an asset
- Working knowledge of MS Office is required
