Job description
Your Job:
You will operate the machine that packs finished candy into the bag that our customers buy at the store. You will be setting up, operating and troubleshooting the machines that package candy into secondary packages and/or shippers. You will supply candy to the machines (operating hoists to move candy into collection tables, moving collection tables into place, raking or shoveling candy to the conveyor) and palletize packed shippers. You will be responsible for conducting metal detection checks, weight checks, completing documentation as required, and ensuring product quality and food safety.
Your Skills:
1-2 years experience in a food manufacturing environment
Completion of high school
Mechanically inclined: able to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment
Ability to perform visual inspection of products
Ability to lift, pull, push up to 25kg repetively
Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment
Ability to provide directions to others

HOURS
Day Shift: Monday - Thursday 7:00 am - 6:30 pm and Fridays 7:00 am - 3:00 pm as required.
RATE OF PAY
Starting rate: $19.50/hour
