Swim Coach / Support / Aid

Job description

We are currently seeking someone who is a strong swimmer to act as a swim coach, support and/aid to work with neurodiverse kids in the pool. The successful candidate will focus on improving body awareness and coordination in the pool through swim techniques and other water activities/play. No experience. Training is provided by a physiotherapist who is providing consultation on programs/activities.

Qualifications:

• Love to be in the water and having fun
• Excellent swimmer, Lifeguard certification is preference but not a requirement
• Experience working with children in the pool and water activities
• Patience, creativity and ability to be flexible and adaptive
• Willing to work after school hours, evenings, weekends and/or holidays
• Able to commit to 4-8 hours per week, potentially more if interested
• 19 years of age or older
• Valid Driver's License
• A criminal record check will be required

Compensation: $35/hour + 15% in lieu of benefits, works out to be about $40.25/hr
