Job description
Heartbeat Transport requires experienced Class 1 Driver to fill a live poultry haul night shift position with our manual transmission Peterbilt and Kenworth tractors. Schedule begins on Sunday night to Friday morning. Weekends and stat holidays off. The driver is responsible to pick up live poultry from various locations in Alberta and delivery to Calgary processing plant. Heartbeat Transport Ltd. offers consistent, full-time, year-round employment with regular time-off every weekend. We offer a $1500.00 sign on bonus and benefits after 3 months, positive work environment, and clean/newer equipment to operate. Shop relocation to a newly built 4-bay facility with driver amenities. Driver responsibilities include the following: Monitor and observe the safe loading procedure of live poultry crates into trailers, there is no contact with the birds Driver is responsible to ensure the live poultry is delivered in timely manner to the processing plant. Driver is not responsible for cleaning the trailers; procedure is drop off and pick up of a clean trailer Maintain accurate log book records as per Hours-of-Service regulations Must perform pre-trip & post-trip truck/trailer inspections Positive attitude toward safety values and company safety program Respect company equipment and maintain cleanliness Expect to work and drive in all types of weather conditions
