Facility: CORPORATE SERVICES
Job : Reporting to the Provincial Manager, Financial Services, the Senior Accounting Clerk is responsible for a variety of accounting functions, such as training, supporting and reviewing the work of the Accounting Clerks, tracking, analyzing and reporting on various types of data, and assisting with internal auditing, implementation of accounting system functionality and policy and process development.
Required Qualifications

Diploma in Business Administration/Accounting
Experience
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
- Diploma in Business Administration/Accounting

Experience:
- Three years previous relevant experience in a comparable accounting environment

Skills:
- Good analytical skills
- Strong computer skills, with intermediate-level ability in using Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to quickly and thoroughly learn new systems, in order to be able to assist in their implementation and to provide training and support to other staff
- Good judgment and problem solving skills
- Ability to anticipate risk
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Excellent interpersonal skills, required to attend to complaints and concerns, and to establish rapport with other staff and outside parties
- Ability to meet strict deadlines, and work proactively with little supervision
- Strong time-management and project-management skills
- Accuracy of fine motor movements for typing/data entry
- Very high level of attention to detail
- Highly motivated and energetic
