About Our Opportunity

 

As the Program Administration Officer 3 you will be responsible for providing advice and assistance on financial matters relating to the various program areas within the Financial Services Unit and external agencies including the  Department of Seniors and Long-Term.

Primary Accountabilities

 

Some of the primary accountabilities of the role will include:

 

 

In this role, you will work directly with the Program Administration Officer IV (PAO IV) and report to the Manager of Finance.

Qualifications and Experience

 

This may be the right opportunity for you if you have a bachelor’s degree with 5 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

 

You have knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Standards and other relevant accounting standards. You have previous experience providing counsel to clients on financial, accounting, and reporting issues in the context of generally accepted accounting principles, legislation, and policy. You have a demonstrated ability to critically examine financial statements and perform operational/program reviews. You possess strong analytical, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and relationship building skills. 

 

While not required, it is considered an asset if you have an accounting designation (CPA), or are currently enrolled in a recognized accounting program which will result in a CPA designation.

 

We will assess the above qualifications and competencies using one or more of the following tools: written examination, standardized tests, oral presentations, interview(s), and reference checks.

This is a TERM employment opportunity with anticipated end date of November 29, 2024 . The appointment status (‘term’, ‘temporary’ or ‘casual’) is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.

Pay Grade: PR 13  

Salary Range:  $2,543.38 - $3,091.70 Bi-Weekly
