About the Opportunity

• Applies accounting principles that include work that is analytical, creative, evaluative, and advisory in nature and that requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice
• Assists in the consolidation of the monthly Group Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash-flow
• Supports the preparation of the monthly group consolidation package
• Supports the preparation of the quarterly bank reporting presentation files
• Supports plants and corporate department for external audits (year end, banking)
• Supports treasury function as needed
• Any other reasonable request made by management
• Contributes to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are supported and adhered to
• Ensures he/she is in full compliance with the laws of Ontario and/or any other province or state, while representing our client or during the use of any of our client’s provided equipment

About You

• Post-secondary education in Accounting
• Designated CPA
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience, preferably in automotive industry or within a Public Accounting Firm
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge in Excel application
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Requires thorough knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles, theories, and terminology of accountancy
• Effective use of problem solving and decision making skills
• Effectively manages multi-tasks and changing priorities
• Knowledge of SAP preferred
• Advanced Excel skills required, i.e. Pivot tables, VLOOKUP

Salary Range
$85,000 - $95,000/year
