Limited-term Assistant Teaching Professor in Clinical Psychology

Job Summary The Department of Psychology at the University of Victoria invites applications for a two-year limited-term Assistant Teaching Professor position in Clinical Psychology to commence July 1, 2024. The successful applicant will be expected to teach 7 semester-length courses per year (typically a 3-3-1 distribution with the ability to teach more than one class per course topic). Teaching assignments will include core undergraduate courses in the Mental Health and Wellbeing stream. There may also be occasional opportunities to teach a graduate course or to serve as Acting Director of the Psychology Clinic as part of the regular teaching load. Limited-Term Assistant Teaching Professors in Psychology are not expected to supervise graduate or undergraduate student research but can serve on students’ committees if they wish. 

Salary Range The candidate’s qualifications, experience and overall market demand will determine a candidate’s final salary offer. The salary for this position includes a competitive salary range of $101,477 - $125,354. Requirements

Required education: Qualified candidates will have a PhD in Clinical Psychology or a related field (e.g., Counselling Psychology) at the time of appointment. Further, qualified candidates will be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia.

Required experience and skills in teaching: Qualified candidates will demonstrate high-quality teaching in topics related to clinical psychology.
