Hourly Salary Range: MoveUp Group 07 - Hourly , MIN $29.58- MAX $35.44is available through annual general wage/step increases.
Recruitment Range : MIN $29.58 – STEP 3 $32.84. Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of knowledge, skills, experience and ability of the candidate to meet the key requirements of the job. In exceptional cases, candidates may be hired above the recruitment range, provided agreement is reached with the Union.

As a Casual Parts Person your work will be on-call in nature covering scheduled vacation and sick coverage as it comes up. This means you will be required and need to be able to pick up shifts on short notice.
The Casual Parts Person maintains and controls an inventory of materials for use by BC Transit’s maintenance shops, including issuing stores material to maintenance personnel, ordering stock from suppliers, preparing requests to stock new items and monitoring re-order points, receiving, unloading, verifying and storing stock shipments from suppliers, shipping and receiving items to and from the Municipal Systems, promptly and accurately entering materials transactions to the Vehicle Maintenance System. This person will also perform inventory counts.
You will be performing a variety of administrative tasks to help the stockroom function smoothly including maintaining files, preparing forms and requisitions.
This Casual Parts Person position is based out of our Langford Transit Centre (LTC) and Victoria Transit Centre (VTC). The successful candidate will need to have reliable transportation to get to both locations. You will be working a variety of different shifts.
