IT Manager, Technology Operations
Reporting to the Vice President, Information Technology, the I T Manager, Technology Operations will manage a team, comprised of internal staff and external service providers, to maintain the ongoing architecture, deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of Spark's Technology environment, both internal and cloud-based infrastructure. The IT Manager, Technology Operations will assist the Vice President, Information Technology in creating and maintaining the operating policies of the Technology Operations, Site & Field Services and Service Desk teams. The IT Manager will be responsible for the delivery and timely completion of P&O-sponsored Projects, provide support on operational issues and incidents as well as the completion of assigned technical tasks and deliverables for other ITS initiatives.
What will you be responsible for?
- Manage a team comprised of internal staff and external service providers to oversee the daily operation of the Technology Operations server and network stack required for Business as Usual.
- Responsible for the administration of Core Technology systems, systems security tasks including security scanning, patching, systems hardening.
- Responsible for the management and resolution of assigned incidents.
- Responsible for the completion of tasks and deliverables as part of defined projects and/or enhancements
- Participate in and assist in the development of policies, processes and procedures in support of IT services.
- Responsible for support and maintenance in configuring, creating, and maintaining monitoring tools and reporting
- Responsible for support and maintenance of Cloud Infrastructure, Security Infrastructure, Company Messaging Tools (Email, Microsoft Teams), Mobile Device Management (InTune), Telephony Management (e.g. SIP, VoIP, PRI), Identify and Access Management
- Providing Level 3 support for Site & Field Services and ServiceDesk Teams
- Responsible for Upgrading and Maintaining physical networking kit at Office and Branch Locations
- Document and Maintain Technology Operations Information Documentation
- Document and Maintain Technology Operations Training Documentation
- Conduct Knowledge Transfer/Knowledge Sharing of technical support to ServiceDesk, Site & Field Support and other members of the ITS team as required
- Document technology playbooks and runbooks in support of Production, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity scenarios
- Provide After-Hours support for high priority incidents and issues as defined by Department SLA's

Do you have the Spark? Here's what we're looking for:
- 2-5 years of experience in management
- University or post graduate level education in computer science, business or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required
Technical skills and experience required:
- Sysadmin: 5+ years
- Linux: 3+ years
- Windows: 3+ years
- Azure : 3+ years
- GCP: 3+ years
- PowerShell: 3+ years
- Practical experience with public, private hosted or hybrid Cloud Services Architecture (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience with Software Development technologies (such as Microsoft .NET, Postgres SQL, MySQL) considered an asset
